Introduction to the model

Banner image for Oil Tank Detection

The Oil Tank Detection pretrained model available on ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World is used to detect oil tanks from high resolution satellite imagery.

Oil tank detection holds immense significance in the oil and gas industry, transforming the way you monitor and manage critical infrastructure. By harnessing the power of deep learning, this technology enables rapid and accurate identification of oil storage tanks from various image sources such as high-resolution satellite imagery, facilitating proactive maintenance, leak prevention, and emergency response. The ability to automatically detect and locate these tanks in real-time enhances operational efficiency, safety, and environmental stewardship, while also reducing the risk of accidents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and ultimately contributing to the sustainable and responsible management of valuable energy resources.
