The Map Identify user interface displays attributes of features represented in a selected area of a map layer. To access the Map Identify user interface, click the Identify action button or context menus of map or image layers in the Esri Contents user interface that support the data capability when published. The identify map tools prompt you for a rectangular selection, will display the attributes of features found in the map layer from which the tool was invoked, and display them in the read-only attribute grid.
