A web feature layer maintains a connection to the service, and extracting a web feature layer creates a document feature layer that is disconnected from the service. When you extract a web feature layer, the newly created layer becomes a layer in your drawing.
- In the Contents dialog box, right-click the web layer under the Web Feature Layer section.
- Click the Extract command on the drop-down list.
The new document feature layer is now a layer in your drawing.
