Import coordinate system

Set the coordinate system from the command line using an Esri projection file (.prj) or an AutoCAD drawing file (.dwg) that contains an Esri coordinate system.

  1. At the command line, type -Esri_COORDINATESYSTEM.
  2. Choose the Set option. At the command line prompt, enter the WKID or the path to the .prj or .dwg file containing the desired coordinate system definition.
Note:

ArcGIS for AutoCAD requires its own coordinate system information separate from any AutoCAD coordinate system or geodata information.

Set the coordinate system using the ESPG number of an existing AutoCAD geodata definition.

  1. At the command line, type -Esri_COORDINATESYSTEM.
  2. Choose the Import option.

An existing ESPG number will be used to set the Esri Coordinate System definition.
