Data layers—ArcGIS for Microsoft 365

A data layer is a layer in an ArcGIS for Microsoft 365 map created using your data. You can change the style for data layers or change the data values to update how the data layer is presented on the map.

Data layers created from Excel, Power BI, or SharePoint data

For the best results displaying data in a data layer, prepare the data before you add it to the map by establishing the data and location types.
