- The advanced demographics dataset was updated in February 2025; it includes data vintages 2025, 2020, 2016, 2015, and 2014. This dataset also includes 5-25-year projections and five-year growth rates.
Settlement points
- Esri's Japanese standard demographics settlement points use the 2020 Population Census Blocks, 125-meter Census Grids containing building footprints (Source: Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) provided by Esri Japan.
- Esri's Japanese advanced demographics settlement points use the Census Basic Unit Blocks 2020 and 2015, Census Grid 125m and building footprint polygons from GSL.
