Esri uses the decennial population census and other demographic data supplied by the United States Census Bureau to create the Census 2020 advanced demographics datasets for Puerto Rico and the United States and the Census 2010 dataset for the United States. Specific variables from Census 2000 for Puerto Rico and the United States are also available to use with data enrichment in various Esri products.
The United States Census Bureau updates census data every 10 years. The data supplied by the U.S. Census represents a complete count of the population. Census demographics are point estimates, representing April 1 of the census year.
