Deploy a solution

You can deploy a solution from the ArcGIS Solutions app, which is accessible in the app launcher after you sign in to your ArcGIS Online organization or ArcGIS Enterprise portal.

Note:

Deploying a solution is not supported on smaller devices.

Deploy a solution in ArcGIS Online

To deploy a solution in ArcGIS Online, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS Online organization.
  2. Click the Apps button Apps in the header of the site and click Solutions.
  3. Browse the solutions gallery by industry or search by keyword.
  4. Hover over a card and click View solution to learn more about it.
  5. Click Deploy to deploy the solution.

The solution deployment dialog box opens.

  6. Type a unique name for your deployment.

This name will also be used for the folder that contains all deployed items.

  7. If prompted and applicable, choose a spatial reference.
    Note:

Choosing the appropriate spatial reference is important if you collect high-accuracy data or if precise measurements are needed.

  8. Click Deploy.

The solution and its items are deployed to a new folder in your content, and the solution's deployment page opens in the ArcGIS Solutions app. From this page, you can manage your solution items, view their dependencies in a diagram, or access help documentation.

    Tip:

You can access your deployed solutions at any time by clicking the Deployments tab at the top of the ArcGIS Solutions app.

Deploy a solution in ArcGIS Enterprise

To deploy a solution, your browser must be able to access content in ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise cannot be configured as a disconnected deployment.

To deploy a solution, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal.
  2. Click the Apps button Apps in the header of the site and click Solutions.
    Tip:

If the ArcGIS Solutions app does not appear in the app switcher, clear your browser's cache and try opening it again.

  3. Browse the ArcGIS Solutions gallery by industry or search by keyword.
  4. Hover over a solution and click View Details to learn more about it.
  5. If you choose to deploy a solution, click Deploy now.

    Tip:
You can deploy one or more solutions at the same time. After a solution finishes deploying, it is accessible from the My Solutions tab.

  6. If prompted, search for a spatial reference by name or well-known ID (WKID). Click the spatial reference.
    Note:

Choosing the appropriate spatial reference is important if you collect high-accuracy data or if precise measurements are needed.

  7. Click Deploy.
  8. After deployment is complete, hover over the solution and click Open.

The ArcGIS Solutions app creates all the ArcGIS items included with the solution and adds them to a new folder in your content. The app also creates a solution item that summarizes the content included and shows the relationship between items. The solution item will have an ArcGIS Solutions badge signifying that it is an Esri-supported solution.
