Add a sign up button

Site owners and editors can add a Sign up card to a site or page. You can customize this layout card based on whether people are signed in to ArcGIS Hub and if they have a community account.

For visitors who are not signed in (without a community account), you can include a Sign up button to prompt them to create a community account. You can also include a Sign in button for users who already have community accounts. For visitors who have a community account and are signed in to ArcGIS Hub, you can include a message such as "Welcome back" and highlight content or an external link.

To configure the Sign up card, you must have a license to ArcGIS Hub Premium.

Configure Sign up card (not signed in)

Customize how this card looks to people who are not signed in. Ensure that the Include Sign in button toggle is enabled. The card settings available on the side panel allow you to include a title and subtitle. Remove them to add your own call-to action above the Sign up button using the Text card.

To configure a Sign up card (not signed in), complete the following steps:

  1. Open a site or page in edit mode.
  2. On the Customize panel, select Layout.
  3. Drag a Sign up card onto a row in the layout.
  4. Under Not signed in, enter a Title and Subtitle and choose a Content alignment option.
  5. Choose whether to include a Sign up button and/or a Sign in button.
  6. For both buttons, you can customize Button text and select a Button style.
  7. Select Save.

Configure Sign up card (already signed in)

Customize how this card looks to people who are already signed in. You can include a button that links to content such as an item or web link.

To configure a Sign up card (already signed in), complete the following steps:

  1. Open a site or page in edit mode.
  2. On the Customize panel, select Layout.
  3. Drag a Sign up card onto a row in the layout.
  4. Under Already signed in, enter a Title and Subtitle and choose a Content alignment option.
  5. Select Linked content to highlight content or an external link for community members to see when they sign in.
    • To include existing content, select Content, select an item, and select Save.
    • To include an external link select External link, choose how to open the link, and enter the URL.
  6. For both content options, you can customize Button text and select a Button style.
  7. Select Save.
