Introduction to Electric Distribution Data Management

Electric Distribution Data Management can be used to map electric distribution assets, edit data, and view system maps in the field and office.

It turns ArcGIS into a system for electric distribution organizations to easily inventory their assets and keep information up to date. It provides simple to use interactive system maps and dashboards for office and field staff, and increases collaboration.

After deploying, organizations with no digital electric distribution data can immediately begin mapping their systems using GPS or digitizing data with web or desktop software. Organizations with existing spatial data can load it and begin using the apps.

Electric Distribution Editor has been updated to use ArcGIS Web Editor instead of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. The Electric Distribution Mobile Viewer map has been replaced by the Electric Distribution Viewer map. Electric Distribution Asset Collector has been renamed to Electric Distribution Field Editor. The Electric Distribution Data Manager ArcGIS Pro project has been replaced with configuration instructions to create your own Electric Distribution Data Manager project. Field and editing feature service views have been replaced with source feature services. All Electric Distribution Map Notes layers and apps have been removed from the solution. This capability is now available in the new Map Notes solution.
