Introduction to Election Management

Election Management can be used to manage election day activities, monitor performance, and gauge voter sentiment.

Election offices, in communities large and small, respond to issues and requests from polling places and voting centers. Issues with computer hardware, facilities, or supplies impact wait times and confidence in the election process. Furthermore, many communities have increased early voting options and the use of official ballot drop boxes. As a result, reliable ballot chain of custody processes are imperative. Election Management is typically implemented by clerks, election commissions, or secretary of state offices that want to run efficient elections and increase confidence in the voting process.

The Election Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help election officials report wait times and request assistance at voting centers and polling places, dispatch field staff to respond to requests, track ballot chain of custody, monitor the performance of voting locations, and gauge the satisfaction of voters on Election Day.

Requirements

Election Management requires the following:

  • ArcGIS Online
  • ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or later
  • ArcGIS Workforce
  • ArcGIS Survey123 Connect
  • ArcGIS Hub Premium (required when Community Identities are used for election workers)
