Viewing attributes

View the attribute table for map image sublayers, feature services, shapefiles, or locations for content added to the district plan.

  1. You can view attributes for map image sublayers, feature services, shapefiles, or locations that are added to the district plan.
  2. Add content to the district plan:
  3. Expand the side panel and click Contents.
  4. Right-click the map image sublayer, feature layer, shapefile, or locations layer and choose View Attributes.

    The Attributes tab on the Districts window becomes active. The attributes for the selected layer are shown.

    Note:

    The Attributes tab on the Districts window only displays one layer's attributes at a time.

Selecting features from the attribute table

Once the attribute table is enabled, you can interact with features by selecting rows on the attribute table.

  1. View a layer's attributes.
  2. On the Attribute tab, click a row to select a feature on the map.

    The feature is highlighted on the attribute table and the map zooms to the selected feature.

Exporting attributes

You can export an attribute table to *.csv for use outside of Esri Redistricting.

  1. View a layer's attributes.
  2. Click the File tab.
  3. Click Export drop down menu and select Attribute Table.
  4. Enter a name for the export file or accept the default name.

    The default name for the exported attribute table is attributes.csv.

  5. Click OK.
