Changing the target value

Esri Redistricting allows you to change the target value for each district. Using this method, you can type a new value for the target value as free text.

When using Esri Redistricting for precincting, this feature may be helpful when the capacity of polling places may vary per district. To modify the target value for each district, follow the steps below.

1. On the View ribbon, click Modify Districts.

   The Modify Districts dialog box appears.

2. Click to select the target value you want to change.
3. Type a new target value in the text field.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 as needed.
5. Click OK.

   The target value is updated. You can check Show Target Values to display the target values on the View ribbon.
