Work with projects

Projects allow you to manage your work effectively and in alignment with your organization. To learn how to create a project in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App and add layers to it, see Create and use projects. A project and its layers must exist in Business Analyst Web App for access in Business Analyst Mobile App.

Browse and open projects

Note:

If you did not previously create a project in your account, one will be created for you when you sign in to Business Analyst Mobile App and will be used as the current project.

When you sign in to Business Analyst Mobile App, the map view opens displaying the project and layer you last used in Business Analyst Web App. You can switch between projects in Business Analyst Mobile App. To browse and open projects, do the following:

Access project analyses

Analyses such as threshold areas and suitability analysis are accessible in projects.

Note:

You can't create threshold areas or perform a suitability analysis in Business Analyst Mobile App. Only analyses created in Business Analyst Web App are accessible in Business Analyst Mobile App.

To access analyses in a project, do the following:

  1. Tap Menu Menu options from the banner, then choose Projects.

    The Projects screen appears.

  2. Tap Threshold Areas or Suitability Analysis.

The Threshold Areas or Suitability Analysis screen appears. Tap any available analysis layer to open it. The sites in the layer are loaded on the map. Tap any site to zoom to it.

  3. Tap Site Options Options menu to view site options.

The Options screen appears. For both analyses, any site option available for other sites in the project are also available, with two differences. Neither analysis has the Edit Site option. Depending on the analysis you have selected, different options are available:

    • For threshold area sites, under Details, you can view the Threshold variable and Threshold parameters.
    • For suitability analysis layer sites, the Show Table option expands the Suitability Analysis Results table. By default, only the Final Score and Site Area columns are included in the table. Tap a variable to view and select other associated columns to include in the table.
