Each project has settings that relate to coordinate system preferences, processing defaults, and other project information. These settings are accessible through the Settings menu of the project and can be modified at any time by a project administrator. Every time a mission is processed in Site Scan Manager, it uses these settings as project defaults. Some settings can be further modified at the time of processing a mission.
After making changes to the project settings, click Save in the lower corner.

The output settings sections are described below.
Project Coordinate System
This section contains the following settings:
- Output Coordinate System (2D)—Specify the horizontal coordinate system for the processed outputs to be saved. The default coordinate system is the local WGS84 UTM zone for the current project location. Ensure that the coordinate system is valid for the location of the missions in the project. If there are images outside of the project coordinate system extent, processing may fail. Search by name or well-known ID (WKID) to change the coordinate system.
- Output Vertical Datum—Specify the vertical datum for the processed outputs to be saved. When using GCPs, it is best practice for this setting to match the vertical datum of the GCP set to avoid an additional vertical transformation. You can perform further transformations on processed outputs to meet spatial reference requirements of the project data in ArcGIS Pro using the Project Raster geoprocessing tool. The vertical datum that you specify should be compatible with the output coordinate system; otherwise, processing may fail.
- Project Location—The location defined when creating the project. The location should match the approximate area of the project's missions and images. Click Edit to modify the location.
Processing Settings
This section contains the following settings:
- Output Quality—Set the quality of all processed outputs. The default is High, which provides a balance of quality and processing time.
- Generate Mesh—Enable this setting to generate mesh products.
- Mesh Options—The options are SLPK and OBJ.
- Mission Area—Enable this setting to clip the processed outputs to the boundary of the mission area. Define the mission area polygon in the mission map view.
Contour Interval
This section contains the following settings:
- Default Minor Interval—Specify the minor contour interval that will be used to generate contour elevation lines. Minor intervals are represented by thin lines on the map. The interval value can be changed from the default when viewing a mission.
- Default Major Interval—Specify the major contour interval that will be used to generate contour elevation lines. Major intervals are represented by thick lines on the map. The interval value can be changed from the default when viewing a mission.
Email Notifications
When you enable this setting, you will receive email notifications when other project members process missions in the project. This is especially helpful for project administrators when there are multiple operators uploading and processing data.
If you process a mission, you will always receive an email notification regardless of this setting.
Note:
This is a user-level setting and does not apply to other project members.
Automatic GCP Detection
With Automatic GCP Detection enabled, Site Scan Manager automatically detects and tags the following visuals of GCPs:
- Checkerboard targets
- Chevron targets that are white or orange colored
- X targets that are spray-painted white or orange
