Project files

You can use files as geographic overlays to add spatial context to projects. The following formats are supported for upload:

  • GeoJSON
  • KML
  • MBTiles
  • PDF
  • XML
  • SHP (must be in a ZIP format with required supporting files)
  • Autodesk BIM 360 import

The File menu shows all geographic overlays that have been uploaded to the project. You can have an as-built drawing or an engineering sketch of a site plan that is stored as a PDF. You can upload the PDF and georeference it to its real-world location so that you can view it in the geographic context of the project along with the processed outputs. You can also upload a geometry of the project boundary to be used as the processing extent. Learn more about uploading files and georeferencing PDFs.

Note:

Do not upload captured photos, raster layers like orthomosaics, GCP sets, or nongeographic data (such as informational PDFs or Microsoft Word documents) using the Files tab. To upload captured photos or GCP sets for processing, use the Missions tab for photos, and the GCPs tab for GCP sets.
