Gridded Reference Graphics are used by special forces and conventional military organizations to coordinate real-world field operations. They include grids and markers that represent real-world entities, and the combination of features, overlays, and maps provides military planning staff and war fighters on the ground with a clear picture of how points of interest in an area of operations are related. Today, military analysts produce Gridded Reference Graphic products in several software systems. As a result, it is difficult to identify appropriate features and reassign designations.
