Introduction to Gas As-Builting

Gas As-Builting can be used to rapidly document newly constructed, or abandoned, assets in the field and incorporate that information into a system of record.

As-builting is the process of recording information about newly constructed assets. In the past, as-builts were created by marking up paper construction plans to record how assets were constructed and to note when construction deviated from design. An inefficient and inaccurate as-builting process results in utilities having out of date information and increases risk of utility damage. It also increases time spent on maintenance operations. Streamlining the documentation of newly constructed assets and rapidly making that information accessible helps gas utilities operate optimally, make better decisions, reduce risk of damage, and increase safety.

The Gas As-Builting solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you document newly constructed assets and rapidly make that information accessible to gas utility operations so they can make informed decisions, reduce potential for damage, and increase safety.
