Included in the Water Utility Hydrant Inspections solution are a few groups designed to help managers organize their members based on the work they do and their privileges.
To add members to the two groups and the workforce project, complete the following steps:

Included with Water Utility Hydrant Inspections are two groups designed to help managers organize their members based on their privileges and their work.
To add members to the groups, complete the following steps:
- Verify that you are signed in to your ArcGIS organization and that you have privileges to manage member groups.
- Click Groups at the top of the site.
- Browse to a group and click it to open the group page.
Review the table below regarding the groups included with the solution.
- On the Settings tab, edit and update the properties of the group, including access, sharing properties, and group ownership.
- On the Overview tab, click Invite members.
- Check the check box next to the members that you want to add and click Add members to group.
- Repeat these steps for each group that you need to add members to.
The provided groups are intended to be utilized by members with the following user types in order to fully use the provided maps and apps:

Share the Hydrant Status Map
Included with the Water Utility Hydrant Inspections solution is the Hydrant Status Map for external agencies to view up-to-date hydrant inspection statuses. Share this map and provide it to external stakeholders.
Load Data
This solution deploys with the WaterDistributionSystem feature layer from the Water Distribution Data Management solution. If you are utilizing the Water Utility Hydrant Inspections solution independently from the Water Distribution Data Management solution, you will need to load data into the Hydrant layer.
Note:
This workflow is optional and doesn't need to be completed to work with the solution.Use the Append tool
In ArcGIS Pro, the Append tool can be used to append multiple input datasets to an existing target dataset. Input datasets can be point, line, or polygon feature classes.
To append features to the target layer or layers using the Append tool, complete the following steps:
- If necessary, open ArcGIS Pro.
- On the Analysis tab, in the Geoprocessing group, click Tools to open the Geoprocessing pane.
- In the search bar, type Append and click to open the Append tool.
- For Input Datasets, browse to your existing hydrant data.
- For Target Dataset, choose the WaterDistributionSystem Hydrant layer from the drop-down menu.
- For Field Matching Type, choose Use the field map to reconcile schema differences to perform field mapping.
- Update your field mapping and click Run.

Use the Data Loading Tools
The Data Loading Tools can be used in ArcGIS Pro to streamline loading data from a source to a target dataset and provide the ability to perform in-process data transformation.
- If necessary, open ArcGIS Pro.
- In the Geoprocessing pane, click the Toolboxes tab.
- Expand Data Management Tools, and then expand the Data Loading toolset.
- Review the Data Loading toolset documentation to understand how to load data into the WaterDistributionSystem Hydrant layer.
