Introduction to Water Distribution Data Management

Water Distribution Data Management can be used to map water distribution assets, edit data, view system maps in the field and office.

It turns ArcGIS into a system for water distribution organizations to easily inventory their assets and keep information up to date. It provides simple to use interactive system maps and dashboards for office and field staff, and increases collaboration.

After deploying, organizations with no water distribution data can immediately begin mapping their water distribution systems using GPS or digitizing data with web or desktop software. Organizations with existing spatial water distribution data can load it and begin using the apps.

4.0 (Mar 2025)	The WaterDistributionSystem feature layer has been updated to provide more detailed attribution for supply features (interconnections, treatment plants, and wells). Water Distribution Viewer has been updated to use ArcGIS Instant Apps instead of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. The Water Distribution Editor has been updated to use ArcGIS Web Editor instead of ArcGIS Web AppBuilder. The Water Distribution Mobile Viewer map has been replaced by the Water Distribution Viewer map. The Water Distribution Asset Collector has been renamed to Water Distribution Field Map. The Water Distribution Data Manager ArcGIS Pro project has been replaced with configuration instructions to create your own Water Distribution Data Manager project.
