Brand the Viewer app

Available with the ArcGIS Indoors Maps extension.

You can customize the Indoor Viewer app to fit your organizational brand during the configuration process. For example, you may want to change the color scheme or add a custom logo.

Update the brand logo

You can customize the logo used in Viewer from the Configure App panel using the following options:

Logo

Select the source of the image to use as your branding logo.

  • Use Default Logo—Use the default Indoors logo.
  • Use Portal Logo—Use the image configured as part of the Shared Theme for your ArcGIS organization (My Organization > Settings > General > Shared Theme > Logo).
  • Custom Logo—Upload a custom image.

Logo Name

The name to display as a ToolTip (in browser mode) and alongside the logo (under the app menu on mobile devices).

Logo Size (in rem; 1rem is 16px)

The size of the logo used in the app.

Update theme colors

You can customize the color scheme of app elements from the Configure App panel. While configuring the colors used in the app, you can preview changes in the preview window as you make them before saving your template.

Set the parameters

Use the color picker next to each parameter to modify its color. You can set a color by using the color palette, or entering a HEX value (hexadecimal), RGB value (red, green, blue colors), or HSL value (hue, saturation, lightness).

The background color for navigation menu and header for info panel.

The following items are affected:

  • Background color of navigation panel
  • Color of selected floor in floor filter
  • Back and next buttons in the info panel
  • Heading for the Get this information on mobile pop-up

Theme > Highlight Color

Note:

While configuring the colors used in the app, you can preview changes made in the preview window in real time.

The following items are affected:

  • Color of selected navigation button
  • Hover color for navigation buttons

Theme > Text Color

The color for text on top of the theme background or highlight.

The following items are affected:

  • Text color for navigation menu buttons
  • Text for selected floor in floor filter

Body > Background Color

The background color for body content.

The following items are affected:

  • Background color for panels
  • Title bar
  • Map buttons
  • Selected site and facility
  • Floors in the floor filter that are not selected
  • Background for Get this information on mobile pop-up and About pop-up

Body > Highlight Color

The highlights on the body background.

The following items are affected:

  • Drop-down buttons in the Events panel
  • Button background in the info panel
  • Other buttons in the floor filter
  • Hover color for items in the info panel, Explore panel, and My Places panel
  • Text for the feature name in the info panel and Get this information on mobile pop-up

Body > Primary Text Color

The text color for primary text such as titles and descriptions.

The following items are affected:

  • Primary text color for panels
  • Map tools
  • Icons in the My Places panel
  • Unselected floors in the floor filter
  • Other buttons in the floor filter

Body > Secondary Text Color

The text color for secondary text such as subtitles.

The following items are affected:

  • Secondary text color for panels
  • Icons in the My Places panel
  • Placeholder text in title bar

Body > Link Color

The color for links—the action buttons in the info panel are affected.

Body > Accent Color

The accent color for highlights—the tab selected in the info panel is affected.

Body > Button Color

The background color for buttons.

The following items are affected:

  • Button color for buttons in the Occupant Finding panel
  • Kiosk reset pop-ups

Body > Button Highlight Color

The button highlights—the button color when hovering over buttons in the Occupant Finding panel is affected.

Body > Button Text Color

The text color for buttons—the button text color for buttons in the Occupant Finding panel is affected.

Body > Border Color

The color for borders—borders throughout the app are affected.

Reset the theme colors

You can reset the colors to the theme used in your ArcGIS organization or to the default Indoors theme by clicking the Reset Theme button Reset Theme in the Configure App panel, then clicking one of the following:

  • Reset to Portal Theme—Sets theme colors to colors configured as part of the Shared Theme in your ArcGIS organization (My Organization > Settings > General > Shared Theme), based on color mapping.
  • Reset to Default Theme—Sets theme colors to the default Indoors theme.
