ArcGIS Indoors Mobile for iOS and Android is built in its native platform to take full advantage of the features of the operating system. With Indoors Mobile, you can view indoor maps and interact with them in various ways, including the following:
- View a specific floor of a facility.
- Browse categories of indoor features.
- Search for specific people and places.
- View photos of a location or asset on feature info cards, including 360 degree photos.
- Save places for quick reference.
- Reserve workspaces and meeting rooms.
- Share points of interest.
- Report incidents related to indoor assets.
- Use landmark-based directions with indoor navigation and routing.
With the availability of an indoor positioning system (IPS), ArcGIS Indoors allows you to explore indoor spaces where you can view your real-time location inside buildings. IPS also makes the app floor-aware so that the map switches to show the current floor you are on. You can also look for places and things that are nearby.
To use Indoors, you need ArcGIS Pro to prepare the data and an ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise organization to host shared data. To configure Indoors, complete the following steps:
- Configure your portal or organization.
- Complete the prerequisites.
- In ArcGIS Pro, prepare a map for use in the Indoors Mobile app.
- Share a mobile map package to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal or ArcGIS Online organization.
- Configure integration with other apps.
- Configure indoor positioning.
