Get started with Indoors Mobile

Available with the ArcGIS Indoors Maps extension.

ArcGIS Indoors Mobile for iOS and Android is built on its native platform to use the features of the operating system. With Indoors Mobile, you can view indoor maps and interact with them in various ways, including the following:

  • Explore the map—You can view a specific floor of a facility, browse categories of features, and search for people and places. You can also save locations for quick reference later, or share locations with a URL.
  • View locations—You can look at photos of a location or asset on feature info cards to familiarize yourself with a location, including viewing 360 degree photos. You can also report incidents related to indoor assets.
  • Route to locations—You can use indoor navigation and routing to get turn-by-turn and landmark-based directions to a person or place.
  • Book reservations—You can reserve workspaces and meeting rooms to have a scheduled time to use a specific room.

With the availability of an indoor positioning system (IPS), ArcGIS Indoors allows you to explore indoor spaces where you can view your real-time location inside buildings. IPS also makes the app floor aware so that the map switches to show the current floor you are on. You can also look for places and things that are nearby.

To use Indoors, you need ArcGIS Pro to prepare the data and an ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise organization to host shared data.
