Esri Maps for IBM Cognos and ArcGIS
With Esri Maps for IBM Cognos, you can create maps that combine your IBM Cognos data with published geographic content from ArcGIS. You can also share the maps you create in Esri Maps for IBM Cognos with others within and outside your organization using ArcGIS. ArcGIS provides an online infrastructure for making maps and geographic information available throughout an organization, across a community, and openly on the web.
Esri Maps for IBM Cognos works directly with your organization's ArcGIS subscription to allow you to access geographic content to enhance your business data. You must be signed in to ArcGIS to use Esri Maps for IBM Cognos; depending on how your administrator has configured the application, you may be prompted to enter your ArcGIS credentials. Your subscription includes a number of service credits, which are the currency of ArcGIS and are used in exchange for most of the ArcGIS services your organization uses. With Esri Maps for IBM Cognos, report authors can add data from ArcGIS to a map to help report consumers visualize data in new ways. Once created in Esri Maps for IBM Cognos, maps and layers can be published to ArcGIS for sharing with others.
