Available with Workflow Manager license.
In ArcGIS Workflow Manager, holds allow you to place a job on hold for an indefinite amount of time. A job may need to be placed on hold for various reasons such as insufficient funding, technical problems, missing data, lack of resources, and so on. Scheduled holds allow you to place a job on hold until a specified time or date. When active, a hold pauses a job so its steps don't run.
