Manage notifications

You can view and manage notifications from the Administration page.

View notifications and details

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can view only collection-based notifications. To view notifications and their details, complete these steps:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications from the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

    Tip:

    Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query and filter the list, and click Hide to choose which columns to show and hide.

  4. Click the name of the notification you want to view.

    The notification's details page appears with notification details.

View notification logs

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notification logs. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can view only collection-based notification logs. To view notification logs, complete these steps:

  1. Access Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications from the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

    Tip:

    Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query and filter the list, and click Hide to choose which columns to show and hide.

  4. Click More options More options for the notification that contains the logs you want to view and click View Logs.

    The notification's logs page appears.

Edit notifications

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to edit notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can edit only collection-based notifications. To edit a notification, complete these steps:

  1. Access Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications from the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

    Tip:

    Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query and filter the list, and click Hide to choose which columns to show and hide.

  4. Click More options More options for the notification you want to edit and click Edit notification.

    The Edit Notification dialog box appears.

  5. Update the notification as necessary.
    Tip:

    To remove a resource, uncheck all Event Types for the resource that you want to remove.

  6. Click Save and Close.

    The notification is updated.

Delete notifications

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to delete notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can delete only collection-based notifications. To delete a notification, complete these steps:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications from the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

    Tip:

    Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query and filter the list, and click Hide to choose which columns to show and hide.

  4. Click More options More options for the notification you want to delete and click Delete.

    The Delete Notification dialog box appears.

    Caution:

    Deleting a notification is permanent and can't be undone.

  5. Click Delete to delete the notification.

    The notification is deleted.
