Manage notifications

You can view and manage notifications from the Notifications tab on the Administration page.

View notifications and details

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can only view collection-based notifications.

To view notifications and their details, complete the following steps:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click the Notifications tab.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click the name of the notification you want to view.

    The notification's details page appears.

View notification logs

You can view notification logs to help troubleshoot notification email and webhook issues. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notification logs. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can only view collection-based notification logs.

To view notification logs, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click the Notifications tab.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click More options More options for the notification that contains the logs you want to view and click View logs.

    The notification's logs page appears.

Edit notifications

You can change a notification's name, description, email settings, webhook settings, or subscribed events. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to edit notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can only edit collection-based notifications.

To edit a notification, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click the Notifications tab.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click the name of the notification you want to edit.

    The notification's details page appears.

  6. Click Edit in the section that contains the notification settings that you want to update.
  7. Update the notification settings.
  8. Click Save.

    The notification is updated.

Delete notifications

You can delete notifications that you no longer want to use. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to delete notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can only delete collection-based notifications.

To delete a notification, complete the following steps:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click the Notifications tab.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click More options More options for the notification you want to delete and click Delete.

    The Delete notification dialog box appears.

    Caution:

    Deleting a notification is permanent and can't be undone.

  6. Click Delete.

    The notification is deleted.
