Manage notifications

You can view and manage notifications from the Administration page.

View notifications and details

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can view only collection-based notifications. Complete the following steps to view notifications and their details:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications on the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Hide and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click the name of the notification you want to view.

    The notification's details page appears.

View notification logs

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to view notification logs. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can view only collection-based notification logs. Complete the following steps to view notification logs:

  1. Access Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications on the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Hide and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click More options More options for the notification that contains the logs you want to view and click View logs.

    The notification's logs page appears.

Edit notifications

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to edit notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can edit only collection-based notifications. Complete the following steps to edit a notification:

  1. Access Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications on the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Hide and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click the name of the notification you want to edit.

    The notification's details page appears.

  6. Click Edit in the section that contains the notification settings that you want to update.
  7. Click Save and Close.

    The notification is updated.

Delete notifications

You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to delete notifications. If you're assigned the Manager role, you can delete only collection-based notifications. Complete the following steps to delete a notification:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor, if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Administration.

    The Administration page appears.

  3. Click Notifications on the side of the page.

    The Notifications page appears with a list of notifications sorted alphabetically by name. If you're assigned the Manager role, the list contains only collection-based notifications.

  4. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Click Hide and specify the columns to hide or show.
    • Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
  5. Click More options More options for the notification you want to delete and click Delete.

    The Delete notification dialog box appears.

    Caution:

    Deleting a notification is permanent and can't be undone.

  6. Click Delete to delete the notification.

    The notification is deleted.
