To provision an ArcGIS Online organization for ArcGIS IPS, you must have an ArcGIS IPS license. You must set permissions for members of the organization to enable functionality in ArcGIS Pro once the organization is provisioned for ArcGIS IPS. Once you set permission levels for members of the organization, they can access the Indoor Positioning toolbox in ArcGIS Pro after they connect and sign in to the ArcGIS organization.
Set up access to Indoor Positioning tools in ArcGIS Pro
To enable access to the Indoor Positioning tools in ArcGIS Pro, complete the following steps:
- License ArcGIS Pro with a Standard or Advanced license level using either the Named User, Single User, or Concurrent User license option.
- Open ArcGIS Pro and sign in to an organization licensed with the ArcGIS IPS organization capability.
- Ensure that you sign in as a user who has publishing privileges and is assigned the ArcGIS IPS user type extension.
Set up access to ArcGIS IPS Setup
Users of the IPS Setup app must sign in before using it and should also have the appropriate level of permissions. Members of an organization that will perform surveys using the IPS Setup app must be assigned a role with editing capabilities and the ArcGIS IPS user type extension. Members that will only test the indoor positioning system with the IPS Setup app must have a role that allows viewing capabilities and does not require the ArcGIS IPS user type extension.
