Data engineering is available in Insights desktop. All Insights in ArcGIS Online and Insights in ArcGIS Enterprise users have access to Insights desktop. For more information, see Overview of ArcGIS Insights.
Data engineering is currently in Preview.
Dataset tools are used to make changes to a full dataset and are accessed from the data workbook toolbar and the side toolbar. Dataset tools are added to the data model after they are applied.
The following dataset tools are available with data engineering:
- Create relationships—Create an attribute or spatial join between two or more datasets.
- Advanced filter—Create an expression to remove unnecessary data.
- Calculate column—Update the values in a column using an expression-based calculation.
- Enable location—Add location data to your dataset using coordinates or addresses.
