Add links to individual features

To add links from Autodesk Construction Cloud documents to features in the map, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Links page, click Link to Features.
    The Link Explorer widget appears below the Map widget.
    Note:

    Link to Features is enabled by default.

  2. Select a feature in the data source that you want to create links for.

    The Add Links button Add links becomes enabled.

  3. Click the Add Links button Add links.

    Autodesk Explorer opens next to the Map widget.

  4. Tip:

    Use the search function in Autodesk Explorer to search for the file you want to link. Click the Clear button in the search bar to clear the search results.

  5. In Autodesk Explorer, choose the document to link to the selected feature.

    The Link and Preview buttons become enabled.

  6. Tip:

    To link multiple documents at the same time, press the Ctrl key while selecting documents in Autodesk Explorer.

  7. Optionally, click Preview to open the selected document in Autodesk Viewer.
  8. Note:

    The Preview button is disabled if multiple documents are selected in Autodesk Explorer.

  9. Click Link.

    A feature link is created between the document selected in Autodesk Explorer and the selected feature from the Map widget. The link appears in the table below the map.

  10. Tip:

    To delete feature links, click the Delete Link button Delete Link in the table below the map.

  11. Optionally, click the Show Linked Document button Display Document in the table below the map to preview the document in Autodesk Viewer.
  12. Repeat steps 2 through 7 to add links to additional features in the map.

Now you're ready to add links to features using rules.
