To add links from Autodesk Construction Cloud documents to features in the map, complete the following steps:
- On the Links page, click Link to Features.
The Link Explorer widget appears below the Map widget.
Note:
Link to Features is enabled by default.
- Select a feature in the data source that you want to create links for.
The Add Links button
becomes enabled. - Click the Add Links button
.
Autodesk Explorer opens next to the Map widget.
- In Autodesk Explorer, choose the document to link to the selected feature.
The Link and Preview buttons become enabled.
- Optionally, click Preview to open the selected document in Autodesk Viewer.
- Click Link.
A feature link is created between the document selected in Autodesk Explorer and the selected feature from the Map widget. The link appears in the table below the map.
- Optionally, click the Show Linked Document button
in the table below the map to preview the document in Autodesk Viewer.
- Repeat steps 2 through 7 to add links to additional features in the map.
Tip:
Use the search function in Autodesk Explorer to search for the file you want to link. Click the Clear button in the search bar to clear the search results.
Tip:
To link multiple documents at the same time, press the Ctrl key while selecting documents in Autodesk Explorer.
Note:
The Preview button is disabled if multiple documents are selected in Autodesk Explorer.
Tip:
To delete feature links, click the Delete Link button
in the table below the map.
Now you're ready to add links to features using rules.
