Change log — June 2022

Detailed information about what has changed for Esri Demographics Standard Demographics, Advanced Demographics, and ArcGIS Places data for the June 2022 release is provided below.

Standard Demographics

The June release includes Standard Demographics updates for 22 countries in Africa, updates to Standard Demographics in 25 countries and regions in Eastern Europe, and updates to Greenland.

Africa

This release includes new Standard Demographics for 22 countries in Africa (vintage 2021): Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mayotte, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Zimbabwe.

Eastern Europe

This release includes updates to Standard Demographics for 25 countries in Europe (vintage 2021): Andorra, Cyprus (Greek part), Faroe Islands, Iceland, Malta, Monaco, Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova (without Transnistria), Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

Greenland

This release includes updates to Standard Demographics for Greenland vintage 2021.

Advanced Demographics

This release includes the annual update in the United States.

United States

The 2022 release of Esri Demographics in the United States marks the first using 2020 Census geography. The following datasets are updated to vintage 2022 based on 2020 Census geography:

ArcGIS Places

This release includes the following updates and new releases for ArcGIS Places:

  • United States: Quarterly update to ArcGIS Places sourced from Data Axle business locations and SafeGraph places.
  • Puerto Rico: Quarterly update to ArcGIS Places sourced from SafeGraph places.
  • Canada: Quarterly update to ArcGIS Places sourced from Data Axle business locations and SafeGraph places.
  • Global: New global ArcGIS Places sourced from data provided by Foursquare.

In this release, SafeGraph has updated the NAICS classification and increased the information in the category_tags.
