When new capabilities are added to ArcGIS Workflow Manager, workflow items can be upgraded to enable the latest functionality in the web app. This option provides workflow item owners the flexibility to perform upgrades at a convenient time without affecting other users' ability to complete work in the system. When a workflow item upgrade is available, a notification appears in the Notification Center dialog box for the workflow item owner with sufficient privileges.
Note:
Workflow items that do not meet the minimum required version must be upgraded before they can be accessed.
To upgrade a workflow item, complete the following steps:
- Access the Workflow Manager web app.
- On the My Workflow Items page, click a workflow item to open it.
The workflow item opens in the Workflow Manager web app.
Note:
If a workflow item does not meet the minimum required version, the Workflow Item Out of Date page appears and the workflow item upgrade is required.
- If you have a notification in the Notification Center dialog box , click Learn More.
- Do one of the following to upgrade the workflow item:
- Click Upgrade Item to upgrade the item.
- Click Upgrade Later to cancel and perform the upgrade at another time.
Note:
Workflow item upgrades can only be performed by the workflow item owner with sufficient privileges. If you choose to upgrade later, workflow users can continue using the workflow item to complete work in the web app.
When the upgrade is complete, the Item has been upgraded successfully message appears.
