Configure map settings

You can configure a workflow item's map settings to set a custom basemap in dark or light mode for the web app. Map settings determine the map used by the Manage page and the Diagram & Map tab on the Details panel.

Note:

Map settings do not determine the map used by the Define Location step.

Complete the following steps to configure a custom basemap for a workflow item:

1. Access the Workflow Manager web app.
2. Click the Design tab.

   The Design page appears.

   Note:

   If you don't have sufficient privileges, the Design tab is not available.

3. Click Settings .

   Note:

   If you don’t have sufficient privileges, Settings is not available.

4. Click the Map Settings tab.
5. Click Edit in the Light Mode or Dark Mode panel.

   The Update Default Map dialog box appears.

6. Choose the environment where the web map is located:
   • ArcGIS Online—Add a web map located on ArcGIS Online.
   • Other—Add a public web map located on an ArcGIS Enterprise portal.

   If you chose Other, provide the URL for the portal in the Portal URL text box as follows:

   https://webadaptorhost.domain.com/webadaptorname
7. Provide the item ID for the web map in the Item Id text box.
8. Provide the name of the web map in the Reference Name text box.

   If the item ID is valid, the Reference Name text box automatically populates with the name of the web map.

9. Click OK.

   The Preview pane updates with the new map.

10. Click Save to save changes or click Discard Changes to undo changes.

    To revert to the default basemap, click Revert.
