What's new in ArcGIS IPS Setup

Available for an ArcGIS organization licensed with the ArcGIS IPS extension.

The 1.7 release of the ArcGIS IPS Setup app for iOS introduces enhanced and new options for map settings.

Map settings

There are settings that map publishers in ArcGIS Pro set in the map properties and share for use by the ArcGIS IPS engine. The following settings are enhanced and new options in the Map Settings panel of the IPS Setup app:

  • Path Snapping—This enhanced option includes a distance slider to set the distance allowed before snapping to the path.
  • Use GNSS—Turn on or off system-based position estimations when operating outdoors or indoors.
  • Use Apple IPS—Turn on or off precise location services in buildings, such as airports, shopping malls, and large venues equipped with Apple indoor positioning for iOS platform users.

Map details

The map details of each map include more information about the positioning data powering a selected indoor positioning system-aware map. This information is presented in the Indoor Positioning Data section.
