The updates below have been made in ArcGIS GeoBIM.
General
ArcGIS GeoBIM has been upgraded to ArcGIS Experience Builder 1.16.
Enhancements and bug fixes
The following enhancements and bug fixes were made:
- .dwg, .rvt and .ifc files with empty geometry are no longer ingested into the ArcGIS GeoBIM project.
- In the Editor widget, your ArcGIS Online organization administrators, app owners, and members of shared update groups now have full editing capabilities. This means they can override any service-level configurations. In these instances, all ArcGIS GeoBIM layers are available for editing, including existing features like Documents and Issues. If Documents, Issues, or BIMProject features are accidentally deleted, you must run the tools on the Tools page again to restore the feature to the project.
- Selections made on cached tile scene layers are now retained in the Link Explorer if you switch between the Scene and Map view in the Map widget.
- ArcGIS Field Maps forms are now successfully created for web maps that contain grouped layers. Group structure is maintained in Map for Field, and the New Field Maps Issues layer is placed outside of the group layers.
- When enabling ArcGIS Field Maps on the Maps tab, leaving the page could result in an incomplete configuration. The warning message will now require confirmation to leave the page.
- The Time Slider widget now works with building scene layers contained within a group layers.
- IFC4x3_ADD2 (IFC 4.3.2.0) is now a supported format.
- Autodesk BIM 360 model sets can now be linked to features in the same way as other documents.
Known issues
The following are the known issues in this release:
- Tooltips do not display for disabled buttons in the ArcGIS GeoBIM Viewer App. The tooltip shows once a button is enabled.
- The Details panel does not close when you click anywhere on the screen away from the panel itself. The main display is also no longer dim when the Details panel is opened.
- The workaround for this is to use the close button to close the Details panel.
- Some icons might be slightly cut off when using the Violet theme in your ArcGIS GeoBIM app.
- A login warning displays in the ArcGIS GeoBIM app if the map or scene contains layers that are not shared with you. Clicking Switch to switch to another ArcGIS Online organization prompts you to sign in again, which causes an error in the Issues charts widget.
The following are workarounds for this:
- Refresh the page to remove the error.
- Ensure all map layers are shared with you.
- Click Ignore to prevent the login again.
- The Add Links button is removed from the Link Explorer when editing the arrangement of the Explore group widgets. This only happens when a feature is not selected.
- If a feature is selected, switching the arrangement of the widgets does not remove the Add Links button.
