Release notes for ArcGIS GeoBIM February 2024

The updates below have been made in ArcGIS GeoBIM.

General

The general product update for this release is that ArcGIS GeoBIM has been upgraded to ArcGIS Experience Builder 1.13.

Enhancements and bug fixes

The following enhancements and bug fixes were made:

  • The Elevation profile widget now functions when no data source is added to the app.
  • The Edit widget has been removed from the ArcGIS GeoBIM app for users without edit or create privileges.
  • The OBJECTID field is now visible for all layers in the Table widget. This ensures that the Table widget never has a blank display, as all features must have an OBJECTID field.
  • Sharing levels and icons have been updated and display all the selected sharing levels in the ArcGIS GeoBIM project and on the app cards. Sharing levels now match the format from ArcGIS Online.
  • The maximum project name length is 74 characters, which is consistent with ArcGIS Online.
  • For layers with a valid SharedView attribute added to an ArcGIS GeoBIM app, a link is automatically created to the source Autodesk BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud document. This link has the same functionality as a ViewerUrl link rule based on a SharedView attribute.
  • Rerunning a tool after cancelling it no longer results in the duplication of documents during the second run.
  • The project boundary no longer has an error when the Autodesk BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud project value is null.

Known issues

The following are known issues in this release:

  • The Elevation profile states that you should select connected lines for single line elevation data. No connected lines exist in the data and this option should only appear for multiline elevation data.
  • If you enable ArcGIS Field Maps for an ArcGIS GeoBIM project, the Delete button is disabled for the project on the Projects page in ArcGIS GeoBIM. This is an expected behavior since there is a layer view (<your project name> Service View for Field) added for the project.
    • Workaround: To delete the ArcGIS GeoBIM project, ensure that you first delete the newly added layer view from your content in ArcGIS Online.
  • Prior selections are retained in the Link Explorer, which results in features from different layers showing in the results.
    • Workaround: You can either select the previous or next feature in the Link Explorer to get to the desired feature or remove the prior selection before selecting the desired feature.
