The Resource Management solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you to capture and update equipment location, available quantities, and operational status, and gain situational awareness of resources under a particular command or region.
In this topic, you’ll learn how to use the solution by assuming the role of a user and performing the workflows below.
Monitor inventory and operational status
Resource Management is typically implemented by organizations that want to maximize their efficiency and take a data-driven approach to asset management. Resource Management Dashboard is used to gain a clear understanding of equipment’s location and to consistently track asset operational status. Resource Management Dashboard contains information about military installations and resource inventory essential to resource monitoring tasks.
You will now assume a National Guard logistics personnel role that has been ordered to mobilize your troops and equipment and respond to an approaching natural disaster. To monitor a specific unit, complete the following steps:
- In a browser, open the Resource Management Dashboard.
- Select your Unit Name or UIC.
The dashboard will begin to filter data based on your selection.
- Clear your selections by selecting All under the Unit Name or UIC drop-down menu.
- Filter your data based on a specific date, time frame, command, or resource/category type.
Inventory is displayed by total count and total entries. Four resource statuses are tracked: Total On-Hand, Available, Non-Mission Capable, and Event Tasked. The embedded map will show the exact unit location and associated equipment that was submitted.
