ArcGIS Web AppBuilder is being retired. Web AppBuilder uses Esri's legacy ArcGIS API for Javascript (3.x), which is retired as of July 2024. The retirement of Web AppBuilder affects ArcGIS Web AppBuilder in ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Web AppBuilder in ArcGIS Enterprise, and the ArcGIS Web AppBuilder developer edition. You should consider migrating your apps to ArcGIS Experience Builder. It is recommended that you start new app projects in Experience Builder.
Retirement dates
The three versions of Web AppBuilder have the following retirement dates:
- The ArcGIS Web AppBuilder developer edition is retired as of July 2024, coinciding with the retirement of ArcGIS API for JavaScript (3.x).
- The final version of ArcGIS Enterprise to include ArcGIS Web AppBuilder is ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5. ArcGIS Web AppBuilder as part of ArcGIS Enterprise is considered deprecated as of March 2023.
- ArcGIS Web AppBuilder in ArcGIS Online will be retired in the second quarter of 2027 with the following phases:
- Q1 2026—Creating new Web AppBuilder apps will no longer be possible.
- Q2 2027—Existing Web AppBuilder apps will be retired and will no longer function.
