Charts

Donut charts now support sorting in ascending, descending, alphabetical, and reverse alphabetical order. The default sort order is descending.

The default sort order for bubble charts has been updated to Sort descending.

Maps

Heat maps now support updating the radius for calculating relative density and changing the scale on which the densities are based. For more information, see Create and use a heat map.

You can now rotate a map and remove basemap layers from map cards. These new settings can be accessed by clicking the Appearance button Appearance on the Card options menu Card options.

Reports

Insights reports can now be embedded in ArcGIS for Teams. For more information, see Who can see your report.

Field calculations

The PERCENTTOTAL function is now available for field calculations and advanced filters, including in Calculate column and Advanced filter data engineering tools. PERCENTTOTAL allows you to quickly calculate the percentage of each field value using the field total. For more information, see Calculate a field.

OneDrive and SharePoint connections

The Microsoft Authentication Library used to create SharePoint and OneDrive connections has upgraded. Microsoft 365 administrators must re-register Insights with Microsoft Azure to continue using SharePoint and OneDrive connections after upgrading to Insights 2023.2. For more information, see Register ArcGIS Insights with Microsoft Azure in the Insights connector guide.
