You can update feature attributes in a map pop-up and feature-based table in a dashboard. This is useful for users who want to update data points without exiting the dashboard.
Enable attribute updating
To enable attribute updating, complete the following steps:
- Enable editing on the feature layer (or feature layer view).
- In a feature-based table, on the General tab, turn on the Allow attribute updating toggle button.
- In a map element, on the Layer Actions tab, turn on the Allow attribute updating toggle button.
- Click Save.
Attributes can now be updated in a dashboard.
Note:
If you or your end-users don't have the privilege to update features, the option to edit does not appear on the elements.
Update feature attributes
To update an attribute in a dashboard, complete the following steps:
- For a feature, click Edit .
A form appears where you can edit the supported fields.
- Modify the attribute values as necessary.
- Click Save.
The updated feature attributes appear on each visualization in the dashboard.
Note:
To control the visible fields and the layout, configure a form in Map Viewer and save it to the map's operational layer or the layer item.
