Use Tax Reverted Property

The Tax Reverted Property solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you improve the collection of delinquent property information, document tax-delinquent properties, and market properties during a property tax sale.

Collect and monitor tax-reverted properties

Code Enforcement Operations can be used to collect delinquent property information, document tax-delinquent properties, and market properties during a property tax sale.

Collect tax-reverted property information

You will start by assuming the role of a treasurer staff member responsible for verifying a tax-reverted property. You are asked to use Tax Reverted Property to visit a tax-delinquent property in the field and verify the details.

  1. Download ArcGIS Field Maps onto your mobile device.
  2. Tap Tax Reverted Property to open the map.
  3. Search for an address, and then in the results list, tap the address to zoom to that location on the map.
  4. Tap the plus sign or tap Collect Here to open the survey form.
    Note:

    Your interface may vary depending on the type of mobile device that you use.

  5. Tap Not Posted or Posted as needed.
  6. Complete the survey with as much information as possible.
  7. Optionally, attach a property photograph.
  8. At the upper right, tap the check mark or tap Submit to submit the survey.

Monitor a tax-reverted property posting

Next, you will assume the role of a tax collection administrator responsible for reviewing the status of the tax-reverted property fieldwork. You are asked to use the Tax Reverted Property Dashboard app to monitor the collection and posting progress.

  1. In a browser, sign in to your ArcGIS organization, and then browse to the Tax Reverted Property solution.
  2. View the Tax Reverted Property Dashboard app.

    On the right, in the Delinquent Properties panel, all tax-delinquent properties are listed.

  3. Review the number of properties that have been posted.
  4. On the left, use filters to refine the results by status or date.
  5. Click a specific tax-delinquent property to review the parcel information, property information, and tax information.

Find a property for sale

Finally, you will assume the role of a real estate agent who wants to attend a property tax auction for the purposes of buying land. You use the Tax Sale app to find a property that fits the needs of your client.

  1. In a browser, from the Tax Reverted Property solution, view the Tax Sale app.
  2. Search for a parcel number or address.
  3. Click a specific property to review the property, structure, and tax information.
