Mission templates

Mission owners can create a template of the mission they have created through the Mission Template area of the Mission Overview interface of the Mission Details page. The template will create a replica of the mission that includes Title, Description, Thumbnail, Capabilities, Mission Map (including any layers), Tasks, Reports, and Materials properties associated with the mission. Members and Teams are the only items that will not be part of the template. A template cannot be edited after creation.

Once created, templates are owner specific but can be shared with others in an organization. The template is stored in the user's root content folder and is a Mission Template item type.

Create a template

To create a mission template, complete the following steps:

  1. In a mission you own, click Mission Details and click the Mission Template tile.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter the following:
    • Title (required)
    • Description (required)
  4. Optionally, add a thumbnail.

    All current capabilities of the mission display with a green check mark. The Map layers section displays all additional layers and a preview of the mission map. These layers will be added to the mission during creation.

  5. View the reports included in your template.

    Note:
    The Tactical Summary Report and report symbology are always included.

  6. View the materials included in your template.
  7. Click Create.

    You can access the template from the My Mission Templates page.
