Esri Maps for MicroStrategy is deployed as a plug-in to MicroStrategy Web Universal. The Esri Maps for MicroStrategy plug-in contains a custom widget that enables you to display data on a map in a MicroStrategy Report Services Document.
For the Esri Maps for MicroStrategy plug-in to operate properly, Esri assumes an operational configuration of MicroStrategy Web Universal. MicroStrategy recommends using certified configurations over the supported configurations.
For more information, see the release notes provided with your MicroStrategy installation media.
It is expected that the Esri Maps for MicroStrategy plug-in will operate in any certified configuration of MicroStrategy Web Universal. The following list outlines the operating systems on which Esri has focused its testing efforts (for both the JSP server and ASP.NET server configurations). If you would like to see the operating system of your MicroStrategy configuration added to this list, contact Esri Technical Support.
Esri does not test all combinations of web browsers (and the underlying client operating systems) certified by MicroStrategy. Rather, a subset of certified web browsers is selected, and testing is performed on the most recent operating systems. Not all selected browsers are tested on all identified operating systems.
Esri has not performed any testing on platforms other than Windows. This is because web browsers on operating systems such as Mac OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux are listed as supported by MicroStrategy, but not certified. It is expected, however, that the Esri Maps for MicroStrategy plug-in will function as expected on non-Windows clients if one of the web browsers listed below is used. If this is not your experience, contact Esri Technical Support to ask that your particular configuration be tested.
The following table shows a subset of the web browsers certified by MicroStrategy. Full indicates a full test run was performed by Esri. Limited indicates testing was limited in scope. Web browsers not listed in this table were not tested.
