Perform prerequisites for ArcGIS IPS

ArcGIS IPS Setup allows you to survey facilities using web maps that have been shared to your ArcGIS organization.

Complete the following before performing a survey using IPS Setup:

1. Create the ArcGIS IPS Information Model.
2. Create floor plan data.
3. Create transitions and pathways.
4. Optionally, create survey paths in ArcGIS Pro.

   If you create survey paths in ArcGIS Pro, you can import them in IPS Setup. You can also create new survey paths in the app.

5. Prepare a map in ArcGIS Pro for use with the IPS Setup app.
6. Share the map from ArcGIS Pro as an editable web map to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal or ArcGIS Online organization.
