The processing of products in Drone2Map requires many tools and steps. The Manage pane provides some detail of this processing through a progress bar and by listing the current processing step. However, the information on processing shown is limited. The processing log allows you to see in expanded detail what is happening during processing between the steps displayed on the Manage pane.
Drone2Map records events that occur, and any errors associated with those events, to the processing log. The processing log is specific to events relevant to the processing engine that occur during processing and differs from the D2M.log file you can access from the Drone2Map system folder. The processing log is important for monitoring and troubleshooting problems with Drone2Map processing. Information in the logs helps you identify errors and provide context on how to address problems. The logs also comprise a history of events that occur over time.
To access the processing log within Drone2Map, click the Log button on the Home tab. The processing log pane appears and displays a live messaging feed. Use the scroll controls to view newer events.
To set a different level of logging messages see: Configure application settings.
The full processing log can be quickly accessed from the Home tab by clicking the Options button, then the Resources tab. Under the Locations section, there is a Log File option. This displays the full path of where the log file is stored for the project. Clicking the hyperlink will automatically open a new file explorer window to the log files path.
