Before mobile workers go out in the field, they need to set up Navigator by doing the following:
- Get the app—Download Navigator for their Android or iOS devices.
- Sign in—Provide their identity.
- Download a map—Access a navigation map to use when creating and using routes.
- Next steps—Optionally create a route in Navigator or use one that you've provided.
Get the app
ArcGIS Navigator is available on Google Play for Android devices and the App Store for iPad and iPhone.
Notatka:
If your organization uses mobile device management (MDM) to deploy apps to devices, see Mobile device management for more information about optional application and profile settings available for use with Navigator.
Mobile workers sign in to Navigator to create routes and access routes and maps that are shared with them.
If they're using ArcGIS Enterprise, the URL to the portal must be entered. This is the same URL you enter in the browser to access the portal, for example, https://myportal.mycompany.com/arcgis.
Licencja:
ArcGIS Navigator is a premium app, and you must have an ArcGIS organizational account that has been configured with an ArcGIS Navigator license to use the app. ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise are supported. For details about using ArcGIS Online, see Manage licenses for ArcGIS Navigator. For details about using ArcGIS Enterprise, see About licensing ArcGIS Navigator through your portal.
Download a map
Mobile workers must download navigation maps in Navigator to create and use routes. Navigator includes Esri-provided navigation maps, or mobile workers can use custom navigation maps that you have provided.
Maps available for download appear in the Maps list. Tap Search to find a particular map, or tap Sort to sort maps by distance, title, or date. Tap on a map to start downloading it. When the download is complete, the map can be opened and used without an internet connection.
Next steps
After downloading a map, your mobile workers are ready to navigate. They can create a route in Navigator, or use a route that you've provided.
