Change the default memory setting
The default memory setting for Esri Maps for IBM Cognos is 1,600 MB. To increase the default memory, you must change the memory setting on each EM4C Server computer in your environment.
- Stop EM4C Server.
- Open a command line window as an administrator.
- Run tomcat5w.exe using the appropriate installation path and service name (for example, 9896):
C:\Program Files (x86)\esrimaps\em4c\server\bin\tomcat5w.exe //ES//EM4C9896 - In the Property window for the services, choose the Java tab.
- In the Maximum memory pool text box, type a new value.
- Click OK and close the Property window.
- Restart EM4C Server.
