What's new

Updates to ArcGIS Flight are released throughout the year. The ArcGIS Flight mobile app is supported on iPadOS devices.

Mobile app—2026.1(iPadOS)

  • Added custom elevation tile packages (.tpkx) that can be used with the Terrain Follow setting.
  • ArcGIS layers will be displayed during the flight.
  • All Site Scan users will be required to link their license to an ArcGIS Online account to view ArcGIS layers.
  • Updated map UI buttons and the elevation profile.
  • Updated maps system to support Runtime v200.
  • Quick Map feature has been retired. Contact Esri Technical Support or submit a feature request to ArcGIS Flight Ideas if this is a useful feature for your workflow.
  • Changes to ArcGIS Flight versioning from a sequential number system to calendar were made.

Mobile app—5.2.2 (iPadOS)

  • Addressed preflight check issues with older DJI drones.

Mobile app—5.2.1 (iPadOS)

  • Added support for live video feed in the ArcGIS Flight Connection app.
  • Addressed issues with M300 unexpectedly pausing during missions.
  • Various bug fixes and improvements to quality were made.

Mobile app—5.2 (iPadOS)

  • DJI D-RTK 3 is supported as an RTK station for drone flights.
  • The Mavic 3E Drone is supported.
  • The Matrice 4E Drone is supported.
