Zoom to a specific feature from an Excel spreadsheet

Note:

You need the following account and license types to use this workflow:

  • Microsoft license—You need a Microsoft 365 license and the Contributor role or higher to zoom to a specific feature.
  • ArcGIS account type—Standard users can perform the functions of this workflow; you do not need to sign in.

To zoom in to a specific feature from Excel, do the following:

  1. In an Excel spreadsheet, locate and select the rows that contain the features you want to see closer on the map.
  2. Click the Map Data tab.
  3. Click Zoom To Zoom To.

    The map zooms in and displays the selected feature in the center of the map.

    Note:

    If you selected multiple rows, the map zooms to show the extent of the selected features.
