StreetMap Premium Custom Roads now available through My Esri
Beginning with North America 2022 Release 3, StreetMap Premium Custom Roads is available through My Esri for download. For details, see the StreetMap Premium Custom Roads download installation guide.
StreetMap Premium data license file installation for ArcGIS Windows Servers without ArcGIS Desktop
For ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 or later (Windows machines), install a data license file (.sdlic) by browsing to
<ArcGIS Server installation directory>\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\ArcGIS\bin\DataLicInstall.exe.
Then type: datalicinstall.exe <pathname>\<SMP data license file>.
StreetMap Premium Custom Roads file geodatabase mapping layers deprecation
Starting the fourth quarter of 2022, the file geodatabase (.gdb) mapping layers will no longer be included as part of ArcGIS StreetMap Premium Custom Roads. This will impact you if you use a workflow dependent on these mapping layers to create mobile map packages. Current releases have both the mapping layers and the vector tile package (.vtpk). The vector tile package is the replacement for the file geodatabase mapping layers. The main benefit of this change is that the map Navigation with Custom Streets (vtpk) performs better than the file geodatabase (.gdb) mapping layers across different products and is consistent with the Esri Navigation basemap on ArcGIS Online.
